The Professional Massage Therapy Program

This comprehensive 750-hour program teaches the art and science of massage therapy, while also teaching sound business practices that prepare students for success in the marketplace.

Students are taught a holistic approach to health and wellness as they apply theory and technique to critically assess and address clients’ needs.

The program provides a foundation in both basic and advanced approaches, including Swedish massage, sports massage, neuromuscular and myofascial techniques, deep tissue massage, chair massage, and hydrotherapy.

The curriculum also provides instruction in the applied sciences, including courses in anatomy and physiology, to give students a solid, technical, scientific understanding of the body – so that they can serve their clients well and be able to communicate with other health care professionals.

The Professional Massage Therapy Program is designed to provide students with knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of bodywork modalities, enabling them to sit for the National Certification Exam or Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam and be in demand with employers of all kinds.


The Extended Professional Massage Therapy Program

The Extended Professional Massage Therapy Program offers a variety of additional opportunities for students to explore and broaden their experience. By adding 250 hours to the Professional Massage Therapy Program, the Extended Program provides students with a distinguishing advantage as they enter the professional world.

Specialty clinics, case reviews, and advanced bodywork courses compliment each other to provide students with creative avenues to refine and enhance the skills that they developed during their first 750 hours of education.

The program provides students with advanced knowledge of treatment protocols for specific disease and dysfunction so that they can service a wider range of clients and their specific needs.  Students gain knowledge of and experience with advanced techniques that are highly sought after by many employers in the massage and spa industries. Completion of the Professional Massage Therapy Program is a prerequisite for enrollment in the Extended Professional Massage Therapy Program. The length of the Extended Program comprises the length of the Professional Massage Therapy Program plus one full-time 10-week term.
